Planetarium - Star of Bethlehem
We went to see the Star of Bethlehem show at the local planetarium. It was well done and there were lots of "oohs" from Springy. The bit I think she liked best was when they projected an image of Orion over his constellation.

Pony Morning at the Stables
Happy Birthday C.
Springy had a stable morning today for her Christmas present. She got to learn about hay bags and managed to canter for the first time (she said it hurts and made her feel a bit sick). She also had a go with a hoof pick and groomed Yogie (the pony she borrowed).

St Nicholas is going to be our theme this month because we're doing Class 2 Steiner Waldorf in our approach anyway.

Today's story - The Fir Tree
Tonight Springy had the story of The Fir Tree (my voice is a little better but the trees all had nasal congestion). ;) We've been making a few Christmas decorations (with tissue paper - sort of stained glass window effect) ready for Sunday.

Stage 2 Swimming Badge - Scouts
Springy just earnt her Stage 2 Scouts swimming badge. She swam 100m, did 3 minutes treading water, did a mushroom float, had to glide from the side for 2m, had to dive in, and do 30 m featuring 3 different swimming strokes - lots of effort involved for all of them.

Profound insight by Springy
Springy: "This spoon would be good for poor people as it has a hole in it, so if they didn't have food it wouldn't matter..."
