We've got a whiteboard (not exactly Waldorf but great for quick games etc). Today we did some magic number square games such as you have 1, 2, 3 and 4 and have to arrange them in a 4 by 4 grid but only one can be on each row, column or diagonal and they must add up to 10, no repititions etc.
We also did some maths whereby each number is substituted by fruit or an animal. For example,
1 = banana
2 = cherry
3 = apple
4 = pineapple
So then you put some sums up e.g. banana + cherry = (answer is apple)
We did this for all the numbers up to twenty so I had to be careful the answer was within 1 to 20. Springy thought this was marvellous and keeps asking for more sums.
